A Christmas Poem

The King of Kings, the Lord of Lords
Came to earth for you and me.
The salvation I could not afford
He paid for on Calvary.

What could I ever give Him
That would thank Him for His Son?
I’ll confess, and turn from my sin
And live in the victory won!

I often lose sight of Jesus,
Because of Santa and Christmas trees.
Jesus Christ is more than enough
To grant me eternity.

He’s the Wonderful Counselor,
The Mighty God, Prince of Peace,
He’s the Everlasting Father,
And to think – He came for me!

Church Christmas Program

Audrey by the tree at church. Everyone brings their presents to
put under the tree and then the teens distribute them,
along with apples and candy bars, at the end of the service.

Christmas program . . . although she didn't quite make it up on the stage.
She was too shy, but liked wearing her costume. :)

What Mindy Read....

Lori Wick is my favorite author of christian fiction. This is her newest publication. This book was to be read on vacation as well. However, I read the entire thing yesterday and we still have a week left to go.

But.... I came prepared. I have more books. :)

What Aaron's Reading...

Right now I'm reading a book my grandma Lillian got me recently. I'm only on chapter 3, but I hope to finish it by the end of vacation (I've got until next Friday). It's really pretty clever.

Audrey's 2nd Birthday...

It was a great day - and Audrey certainly had fun. We don't know for sure if she understands what a "birthday" is, but she enjoys opening presents and eating cake and ice cream.

She's already 2! Whoa.

This is Elizabeth, she's a 7th grader...and made Audreys' cake. Very well done. (Elizabeth is also going to get baptized later this month).

Officially Pregnant

Well, It's official.... the doctor confirmed that there is a life growing inside of me. Friday, July 27th was my first appointment and everything is going just as it should. I am 14 1/2 weeks along with a due date of January 24th. I meet with a specialist on August 13th to discuss cerclage surgery and we will go from there. This week I have felt the first kicks!! :) -Mindy

What Aaron's Reading...

Mindy got me this book for Father's Day...and I'm almost done with it. One of my hobbies is reading baseball books. Former MLB manager Kevin Kennedy has a fascinating baseball mind, and does a nice job clarifying exactly how the Professional Baseball game works.

I recommend this book. Aaron
