Why monsters? I don't know. I suppose because she draws a lumpy shape to begin with and it doesn't really look like anything besides a monster.

So, last but not least, my personal favorite: A monster hand doing sign language for I love you. And yes, she came up with that idea all by herself!

Barbies

I forgot that I let Audrey borrow the camera the other day to take pictures of the toys in her room. I downloaded the pics to the computer and there were 63 random ones of her Barbies! Bwahahahahahaha. Made me laugh.

Front Flower Bed

Whew! It's finished (we think). Since we no longer have a huge tree in the front yard, we could plant some flowers this year. We tilled up this entire section of dirt and made it pretty. The flowers inside the stone block pathway are perennials, but the outside will change every year.

There are: shasta daisies, gerbera daisies, pansies, alyssum, blanket flower, hen & chicks, dusty miller, and some others that I can't remember the names of right now. The gladiolus bulbs are also planted right along the house cement there and will come up later.

Can we make cookies please?

We both thought chocolate chip cookies sounded good.

She enjoyed smashing the dough.


You can tell which ones she made. They had to be smashed down onto the pan, flat like a cookie. I mean, cookies ARE flat, right?


After each one, she'd spread her hands wide and say "Woohoo!" and then go on to the next.

Strawberry Patch

I planted strawberries last year and there are many blooms starting to appear. Yes, there will be strawberries this year folks! Can't wait!

It's a Duck, It's a Goose, It's a . . . comfy place to sit?

We played outside today because the weather was absolutely gorgeous! If you haven't been to our house before, our neighbors keep a fantastic garden with many varieties of flowers and plants. This is a picture of some of the greenery that is starting to come up near the back alley... and of course the duck/goose that's perfect for a 3-year-old to sit upon. :) (She insists it's a duck, but I think it's a goose.)
