A Great Book

Well, tonight I finished one of my birthday books, Living on the Black, by John Feinstein. I honestly think he's my favorite author. I think I've read 3 of his books now, and I hope to read many more. I've read "Next Man Up" and "A Season on the Brink," as well.

"Living on the Black" is a book about two Major League pitchers, and how they handled their respective 2007 seasons. They were Mike Mussina of the Yankees and Tom Glavine of the Mets. It's called "Living on the BLACK" because both pitchers have learned to find the most success on locating their pitches on the "black" (corners) of the plate. It's a very fascinating book, I recommend it to any baseball fan.

One more thing, you're probably wondering why it took me until July 27 to finish a book I received on June 6 -- It's 525 pages. I didn't mind, though.
