We live about 3 or 4 blocks away from train tracks, and several times a day we hear the horn whistle Choo! Choo! In fact, we hear them sometimes throughout the night. When we first moved to our house 1 1/2 years ago, we heard the trains every time they whistled. Within a week we didn't even notice them - until about a week ago. Every time Audrey hears the train whistles she puckers her lips TRIES to say Choo! Choo!. Of course, we try to encourage her so we echo the train sounds.
At first her Choo Choo sounded like "Da-Da." Now it has progressed to "Doh-Doh."
Then I got thinking...Audrey has no idea what makes the Choo Choo sound so I found this picture online and I'm going to try showing it to her the next time we experience a Choo! Choo!
