What a wonderful time of year. Thursday night we had our "family Christmas" at home. Because there are only 3 of us it was a pretty simple affair. Friday night we went to Marty and Rhonda's and had an awesome time. Saturday we traveled to Mindy's parents house (nearly 5 hours in the car) and had Christmas dinner at Mindy's grandparents house (her mom's side). We played some games, had good fellowship and even watched "Superman Returns" last night.
Christmas morning we opened presents at Mindy's parents house - I'm NEW to the opening Christmas presents on Christmas concept. Growing up we would always open presents Christmas Eve at my Grandpas and ususally together as family in the evening days before Christmas depending on travel plans. Mindy grew up only opening Christmas presents Christmas morning - after the farm chores were finished.
Highlights of Christmas Morning Presents
Audrey: A new dress, a tractor/wagon kiddie toy that drives and makes several farm animal sounds, etc.
Mindy: New PJ's, complete set of new lightweight dishes and glasses, etc.
Aaron: New turtleneck, 2 "cow" games: "Cosmic Cows" and "Life on the Farm"
Nathan and David even got LEGO sets. David even got a car!
